Katy Baseball Coaches
Coach Hearne graduated from Hudson High School in Lufkin, TX. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin in Kinesiology with a minor in history. Coach Hearne coached in Taft and Needville before coming to Katy in 2012. Following the 2016 season he went back home to Lufkin and coached there for two years before moving back to Katy in 2018. He believes that coaching is one of the most impactful and rewarding careers that someone can choose. Coaching allows us to teach young boys how to become young men. As Billy Graham once said, "A coach will impact more people in one year than the average person will in an entire lifetime." Coach Hearne is married to his wife Anna and they have two daughters, Adelynn and Abigail, and one son, Bryson. Coach Langan graduated from Sunnyside High School in Tucson, AZ. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona in Exercise and Sports Sciences with a minor in mathematics. Before moving to Katy, Coach Langan coached baseball at Abilene High, Tahoka High, and was Head Baseball Coach at Morton High and Slaton High School. He has been at Katy High School since 2000. He believes that coaching is a great platform to teach young men about character, virtue and work ethic. Coach Langan is married to his wife Debbie and they have two sons and a daughter that graduated from Katy High School in 2008, 2010 and 2018. |
Coach Wilson is a proud Katy High School alumni, class of 2013. Coach Wilson attended Angelina junior college, University of New Orleans, and Texas A&M- Kingsville as a pitcher before moving on to professional baseball. Wilson graduated Magna Cum Laude with his bachelor’s degree in business marketing. Coach Wilson’s love for all things baseball brought him immediately to the coaching world after finishing his career. Wilson believes coaching is the best platform for creating the next generation of hard working, good men. Wilson plans to use his competitive nature and determination to constantly improve to push players to their highest potential. “Discomfort is the price of admission to a meaningful life” Susan David. Coach Wilson is married to his wife Sanora, his Katy High School baseball trainer, and is expecting a daughter (Hayley Jane Wilson) August 1st, 2022. |
